Artificial vision, signal and image processing

The research line on “Artificial Vision, Image and Signal Processing” includes some topics tackled by our group since its beginnings, being one of the main identities of the group in the first years. Some projects funded by official agencies supported this research, permitting the dissemination of the obtained results in many journals and conferences.

The topics in this research line are, mainly, the following ones:

  • Biometric Identification by Means of Iris Recognition.
  • System Identification for Time Series.
  • Image Processing for Cork Quality Classification.
  • FPGA-based Image Processing via the Internet.
  • Video Coding and Decoding.
  • Design of Good Error Correcting Codes in Communications.
